HOPE AND REASSURANCE

During 2009, St Wilfrid's Hospice will continue its ministry to Christiansb and the community. They are currently "on the move" - trying to find new premises in order to care for all those in the area who need their help. Over 25 years of loyal and devoted service has resulted in the hospice becoming one of the most well known and loved of all of the local charities. The hospice remains true to the foundations of Christian love and charity which nurtured its beginnings and have sustained it over the years. Now St Wilfrid's is calling on the prayers, actions and commitment of local Christians to help them find a way forward.

St Wilfrid's is appointing a new Christian minister to join its multi-disciplinary team, who remain committed to providing care for terminally ill patients, their families, friends and staff as a demonstration of the love of God in his Son Jesus Christ.

Chief Executive Officer, Kara Bishop, and Chairman of Trustees, Canon Gordon Rideout, are keen to see that the continuing care provided by the hospice is firmly grounded in ethical, theological, spiritual and pastoral principles. They ask Christians in Eastbourne and the surrounding area to pray that the right person will be appointed and also that the right decisions will be made in all the situations that are constantly being faced by staff and Trustees.
