Kids Klub

Kids Klub was started by Kings Church some 9 years ago and exists to tell children from an early age that Jesus cares and that church is exciting.

Every Saturday afternoon between 100 and 150 boys and girls are collectedfrom allover Eastbourne in the church's buses for a varied programme of activities planned to 'get kids to think'.

Jez Field co-ordinates this outreach and describes a typical programme: welcome and games, drama and pantomime, Bible teaching, prayer corners and discussion groups. The youngsters are encouraged by the 30 strong team who lead Kidz Klub to ask questions. "It's something of a mini-Alpha approach", says Jez.

During the week, team members visit the children's homes in order to keep the contact and to build up a relationship with their parents.

Without doubt, Kidz Klub is a real presence in the town, bringing the Good news of Jesus to the up-and-coming generation in a fun way.
