Polish Church We can't help but notice that there is a considerable community of Eastern Europeans in Eastbourne, and the question is, who is taking the opportunity to reach them with the Gospel? Lucas Cieniawski, originally from Poland, but resident in the town for almost two years, is hoping in the near future to establish an evangelical service for his compatriots, using his own native language. The plan is to have a get-together, inviting people in work locally, Christians and non-Christians, on the second Saturday of every month at South Street Free Church, starting at 11am, with a varied programme including worship, prayer and teaching. There is already a nucleus of 25 men, women and young people, and it is expected that a regular meeting will be taking place by the end of the year. As you pray for this new work, remember also other ethnic groups who are reaching out with the Good News, including the Portuguese-speaking congregation, the Indian Fellowship, the International Church (predominantly Korean). And don't forget to visit the Christian Resource Centre which stocks evangelistic material in Polish.
